ATXelerator Session #7: Nonprofits

Many thanks to Melissa Morrow, Phyllis Snodgrass and Colin Wallis for discussing their outstanding nonprofit organizations last night at #atxelerator session # 7 on nonprofits & P3s. Austin is a better place because of these leaders and their organizations. @thejuniorleagueofaustin @austinparksfdn @atxhabitat. Two stats that jumped out: of the 300 Junior Leagues around the U.S., Austin's is the fifth largest. And the Austin Parks Foundation received $6 million last year from ACL Fest which is an incredible amount of money and helps improve parks all around the city. That's a model partnership.
